Laboute's Wrasse is one of the most colorful fairy wrasses available, prized for its brilliant magenta-pink body layered with bold yellow-orange horizontal bands outlined in electric blue. Mature males develop deeper color and an impressive flared display, making this a standout in any reef.

Native to New Caledonia and the Coral Sea, Laboute's is collected far less often than common fairy wrasses and is highly sought after by collectors. It is peaceful, active, and spends its day cruising the open water column. A tight-fitting lid or mesh screen is strongly recommended, as fairy wrasses are known jumpers.

It feeds on zooplankton in the wild and does best on a varied diet of frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and fine pellets offered several times a day.
