RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At SPS Reef Co, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before placing your order.

DRY GOODS RETURNS

New, unopened items — within 30 days
We are happy to accept returns of new, unopened dry goods in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase for a full refund to your original form of payment.

New, unopened items — over 30 days
Items returned after 30 days but within 60 days may be accepted for store credit at our discretion.

Unused, open box items — within 30 days
If you opened the box but the item has never been used or touched water, we can accept a return within 30 days minus a 10% restocking and handling fee. Items must be in original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and packing materials included.

Items that have been used, show exposure to water, or are missing original packaging are not eligible for return and will be returned to you at your expense.

Drop-shipped and freight items
Large items shipped via freight or LTL (aquariums, sumps, large tank systems) are not eligible for return. Standard drop-shipped items may be returned unused and in original packaging within 30 days, subject to a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense.

Clearance and final sale items
All clearance, blowout, and final sale items are non-returnable.

Manufacturer defects
If your product arrives non-functional due to a manufacturer defect, it may be exchanged for the same product within 30 days at no cost to you. For warranty issues beyond 30 days, contact us and we will work directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Shipping damage
If an item arrives damaged, you must contact us within 3 business days of delivery. Please retain all original packaging as it may be needed for a carrier claim. We will replace damaged items at no cost to you.

LIVESTOCK RETURNS (Corals, Fish & Invertebrates)

All livestock sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on live animals or shipping charges.

Arrive Alive Guarantee
All livestock orders are backed by our Arrive Alive Guarantee. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), you must contact us within 2 hours of the FedEx posted delivery time with clear photos of the deceased animal(s) still in the unopened or just-opened bag. Claims submitted after 2 hours will not be accepted.

SPS Reef Co cannot be held responsible for livestock losses due to FedEx delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or other circumstances outside our control.

We take every DOA claim seriously and will work with you to make it right on valid claims.
