SHIPPING POLICY
At SPS Reef Co, we take great care to ensure your order arrives safely and in perfect condition. Please read our shipping policy carefully before placing your order.
LIVESTOCK SHIPPING (Corals & Fish)
All live animals — including corals, fish, and invertebrates — ship via FedEx Priority Overnight Monday through Thursday only. We do not ship livestock on Fridays to avoid weekend delays and potential losses in transit.
Orders placed by 2 PM EST Monday through Thursday will ship within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 2 PM EST or on Fridays will ship the following business day. Most packages arrive by 10:30 AM local time. Certain remote areas may experience later deliveries.
Livestock Shipping Rates: $39.99 flat rate | Free on orders $500 or more
We do not ship livestock outside of the continental United States. Due to Hawaii state law, we are unable to ship corals to Hawaii.
Packaging: All livestock is packed using double-sealed bags with the appropriate water volume, secured with cup inserts or foam stabilizers. Each box is fully insulated with seasonal temperature control — heat packs or cold packs as needed.
Arrive Alive Guarantee: In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), you must submit a DOA request within 2 hours of the FedEx posted delivery time with clear photos of the deceased animal(s). Claims submitted after 2 hours will not be accepted. SPS Reef Co does not offer refunds on livestock or shipping charges but will work with you to make things right on valid DOA claims.
DRY GOODS SHIPPING
When purchasing aquarium supplies valued at $500 or more, you will qualify for free FedEx Priority Overnight shipping, unless the item is a drop ship item, freight item, or special order. When purchasing aquarium supplies valued under $500, standard ground shipping rates apply.
Orders ship within 1–2 business days of being placed. Freight and drop ship items such as large aquariums, sumps, and tank systems do not qualify for free shipping and will be indicated as such in the product description.
Note: Livestock and dry goods ship separately. Live animals require specialized overnight packaging and cannot be combined with dry goods shipments.

SPS Reef Co is not responsible for shipments delayed or lost due to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer. We are not responsible for FedEx delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or other circumstances outside our control. For any questions, contact us at scott@spsreefco.com.
